Hocus Pocus

Thanks for the post from Noe Castro

My favorite show to watch near Halloween is the movie Hocus Pocus. It seems to be on nearly every satellite channel from CableTelevision.net at least once during October. It's a favorite not only of mine but of the rest of my family. We would all get together and watch it as a family. Now that me and my sisters have grown up and gone our separate ways we still watch it on our own and remember the good times.

The movie is about three sisters who are witches and our resurrected from the dead on the night of Halloween. It's been about three hundred years since they were last alive and they live by stealing the souls of children. Max is the teenage boy who awakened them and it's now his responsibility to make sure they go back to where they belong. With the help of a human boy turned cat long ago, his little sister, and his love interest in the film he returns them to their past. He nearly loses his little sister's soul and his own life in the process.

It's an exciting yet scary Halloween film that really makes you question where we got the idea for the holiday. It's about working together as a family and having a responsibility to do the right thing.
